Hackworth twinned with Ballymungret.

For variety we built a second layout based on Irish railway practice.
Ballymungret had its first outing at the Severn Valley Railway in April 2019 and was a great success.
The variety of locomotives and rolling stock was a very welcome change from all the British layouts.
Ballymungret shares the same hidden sidings as Hackworth so storage space of our models is kept to a minimum (space is a problem that most railway modellers suffer from).
Future developments are a Brewery (they say that Ballymungret Brown is the best porter in the world) and a cement works both of which will be available as separate layouts.
Will there be another addition to our family, well you will just have to wait and see?
