We, the 'Hackworth Group' had our Hackworth Junction & Blenkinsop Colliery layout on display at the Severn Valley Railway for the first time in 2018 and since that time have been represented at many shows in the West and East Midlands as well as the Welsh Marches. We often get invited back to show one of our other layouts. THREE TIMES winners of best in show awards, Sour Valley Model Railway Club’s exhibition with Hackworth Junction & Blenkinsop Colliery, Trent Valley Model Railway Society’s exhibition with Hackworth (Jutland Street), and at Ilkeston Model Railway Club’s exhibition with Hackworth (Trafalgar Terrace). Ballymungret had its first showing at the Severn Valley Railway in 2019 where it was greatly appreciated for its originality. All of our layouts feature sound fitted locomotives, appropriate sound effects for workshops/loaders/industrial units etc, full lighting, working level crossing (Ballymungret and Hackworth Junction) working turntable on Hackworth (Trafalgar Terrace), Hackworth (Jutland Street) and Ballymungret MPD.
